Editorial policy
Modern County Report aims to make regional geography and identity clear without flattening differences between places. We take care with claims, explain our reasoning and make room for correction.
Accuracy and context
We check factual claims against suitable, attributable material and take care not to present a plausible explanation as an established fact. We distinguish a physical feature from an administrative boundary, and a local interpretation from a general account. Stories are edited for clarity, context and proportion.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial decisions remain separate from commercial arrangements. Any paid, sponsored or partner material is clearly labelled so readers can identify its nature. A partnership does not guarantee coverage or a favourable view, and partner placements are not presented as independent editorial reporting.
Corrections and illustrations
Readers can send corrections through the Contact page. We review them, revise material when warranted and make important changes clear to readers. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; where used, they are identified as illustrations and are not presented as documentary images.
